10th Annual Matt’s 5K Pursuit to be held April 12, 2015

This year will mark the 10th Annual Matt’s 5K Pursuit. Matt’s 5K Pursuit is an annual event held to raise money in support of The Matt Haverkamp Foundation and local police K9 units in the greater Cincinnati area.

The 5K will be on April 12, 2015 at the Spring Grove Cemetery. The race will begin at 9:00 am with sign-in and packet pick-up beforehand. Awards will be presented to the top three men and women runners in each division and the top three men and women overall. Registration before March 29th is $22 and includes a T-shirt. After March 29, registration won’t be open again until 7:30-8:30 AM on the day of the event. On the day of the event, registration is $25 with a $2 processing fee for credit cards.

Biff’s Fun Run for Kids is open for kids ages 10 or younger and will begin after the 5k. All registered will receive fun freebies and chances to win cool prizes. Kids will enjoy a play area, jumpy house and photos with Biff the Dog mascot. Registration is $5.

As we continue to strive to fulfill the requests of local police departments, we hope you’ll join us again this year on Sunday, April 12th.

5K Frequently Asked Questions

Are walkers and strollers welcome at the 5k?

Absolutely. Walkers with or without strollers are welcome. Please allow runners to move in front before the event starts to be closer to the starting line and avoid traffic jams.

Are dogs welcome at the event?

Absolutely. Be sure to keep them on a leash as several police K9s will be there as well.

How far is a 5K?

3.1 miles. Please keep in mind that Spring Grove Cemetery is very hilly!

Is there an age limit to Biff’s Fun Run for Kids?

Yes, this event is for kids age 10 or younger.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?


Can I register onsite?

Yes, but registration is cut off at 8:30am and we encourage participants to register online early to ensure we can provide you with the right shirt size and minimize transactions on the day of the event.

When and where do I sign-in and pick up my registration packet?

At the registration check-in tables on the day of the event between 8:00 and 9:00 am.
